My daughter is 7 and tall and the size 8 fit her perfect. The Band ties back so you can adjust the fit and it has wide hem that I can let out when she gets taller so it won't look too short.

This dress was just perfect for my daughter on Easter Sunday. The only thing I would suggest is to order 1-2 sizes larger. My daughter wears a size 8, I purchased a size 10 and it fit but she could use a little more room. I am not surehow much more wearing she will get out of it. Overall the dress was perfect.

I bought this a size too big and it's still too small around the chest. My grand daughter can't even wear it. It's a beautiful dress but made for a very very slim build.
