Rating:  - Long Battery life from a Long Battery
This battery is a must have item.I use my HF11 all the time to record and playback video.The battery that came with my HF11 is a joke.It sits in my case only as a backup, if I ever run out of juice with the 827.I would not worry a bit about it protruding out of the back of the camera a bit.In 10 seconds you won't remember and it's service is great.It will be the only battery you ever use.
I only gave it 4 stars because the battery is expensive.
Rating:  - Absolute must for HF series Camcorder
This Battery give me around 300 minutes of recording time or about 350 minutes of playback time on my HF10.
It does make the camcorder slightly bulky. This battery is a must when you are shooting outdoors.
Rating: - Over 4-1/2 hours battery time
I bought this battery and was very happy with the 4-1/2+ hours of battery time on my camcorder. The battery is a bit bulkier then the one that comes with the HF-100 but that is to be expected since it has like 3+x the capacity. I have the 16MB storage cards and you can fill a little more than 2 of them on a full battery charge.
The camcorder still fit in my case with the battery on, so no big deal.
