I guess an example of how well this works would be walking into my sons room and seeing dust float through the sunlight streaming in.I placed this in his room and the air was soon clean.We also use it in our living room.Not that we are closed up for the winter it makes me feel a lot better knowing that I have something that is helping clean the air.Now only that but the air that comes back out of it is cleaner.There is a charcoal filter to help fight odors.Which is a plus when cooking. ... Just like their line of vacuum cleaners -- this product also sucks, big time.Especially when you consider the pricetag... it's like $300 on the Oreck website.
I have allergies and asthma.Way back when I had a HomeMedics filterless air purifier and it worked great up until it died.I could feel a difference after minutes of it being on.But, once the motor failed I was hard-pressed to find an affordable substitute.

The Oreck air cleaner works great and made a noticable difference in the air quality after just a day or so.I tried shutting it off for a day, and the difference was amazing so it is definitely turned on for good.Thinking about getting a second one for in the bedroom.
