Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - Worth the Wait I can't seem to stop listening to this new album by David Cook.It is all that I had hoped for from this artist. There is not a bad song on the album.I have a new favorite musician to add to my personal list.
One note: One of the tracks is 15 minutes long.It contains two songs, one at the beginning and another at the end of the track. It took me a week to figure out how to configure itunes and my ipod so that I could easily listen to the hidden track "Kiss on the Neck".So if ... Read More
Rating: - A great voice He was my favorite from the beginning of Idol last season. So happy that his album is finally out.His voice sounds fabulous. He is a real professional and has fabulous technique.A real talent.I think he will find his sound even more as he is given the opportunity.
Rating: - Great first album I own this album and really like it. Puts me more in the mood for a great day by the pool or summer road trip versus enjoying the snow today; however, it is a great first album and "true" to the David Cook everyone got to know on American Idol...there were no surprises...just good old fashion rock and roll. If you like Daughtry, Nickelback, etc. you would like this album.
Rating: - Lost his trademark qualities David Cook was a favorite on American Idol as soon as he sang a version of Lionel Richie's "Hello" that was haunting instead of maudlin. He continued to bring surprising arrangements to light, even if borrowed, and showed himself to be a performer worth pinning some hopes on. Even his finale song was soaring and inspiring.
And now we have his first album. What a disappointment. Cook sounds like a dozen other current performers. He's lost his distinctiveness. The songs range from the forced ... Read More
Rating: - Talent cannot be denied I remember my initial reaction to David Cook on American Idol earlier this year and it was pretty lukewarm.Little by little I warmed to his style and personality and ended up solidly in this David's camp. Now that I have heard his first CD I know I chose wisely. He is still searching a little for his style but what he has given us here is real and mostly very good.I love the musicality of Bar-Ba-Sol, the lyrics and the beat stick in your head - and it is different, quite different.Lie is my next ...
