Just finished using mine for almost 1 month and have the second battery charged and ready in my camera backpack. My first battery is still goingand have only taken about 100 shots. The battery indicator on my Nikon D60 still shows full and the camera has been exposed to temps above 100 degrees, sat idle with the camera "on" by mistake, and I've used the preview photos button hundreds of times to see what I've taken which uses the battery up. I almost purchased the genuine Nikon batteries for fear that these wouldn't work well.Boy was I wrong, these are great and they last quite a while longer than the factory battery.They also hold their charge well.I left one in my bag for two weeks in 100+ temperatures, and when I loaded it into the camera it still had a full charge.Buy these with confidence.

I purchased two of these 1800 mAh batteries for the Opteka Grip, replacing the single Nikon factory supplied 1000 mAh D40 battery. Although I have not had the new running system up long enough, I anticipate that the power boost will about triple the capacity of the single stock unit. Note that these EN-EL9 replacements only work in Nikon D40, D40X, and D60 camera bodies! Other styles (part numbers) are available from Nextop for almost any popular Nikon or Canon DSLR.
