i returned it because it is more like a drink blender than a food blender .never tried it so i cant tell how good it is

The first thing you notice about this unit is that it's incredibly noisy.I mean "earplug" noisy, the kind of decibel level that makes it impossible to have a non-shouting conversation while it's on.It's also made mostly of plastic, which has already caused us to replace blades and the cover once.The unit disassembles okay and can be cleaned easily, but the unit is underpowered (or has a poor gear ratio) since it takes a long time to blend food items.Making hummus should not take four minutes ...
