I have had the phone for several weeks now and it has been terrific.The speaker phone works incredibly well and the base also has a headphone jack (the cordless handset has a headphone jack as well).I haven't had to use a headset with the base as the sound quality on the speaker phone has been superb.The base has a lot of configurable options and even has a DND (do not disturb) function where you can set a DND duration and the base will not ring while you are on another call.The cordless ... Rating:  - Volume inadequate
Even though the system has lots of features, the most important one was severely lacking. Even having the volume for the handset at 5 (highest), you could barely hear the person on the other end. And no, I'm not deaf or hard of hearing.
I quickly went back to my old Motorola system.

I purchased this phone with 3 additional handsets. Calls were disconnected frequently and all phones would display "Unavailable", "Out of Range" simultaneously, right next to the base.Also very hard to hear.
I called customer service and received VERY poor support, and a "supervisor" (was not a supervisor) returned my call and gave no further assistance.
I am returning these phones.

I purchased this unit to replace a Motorola cordless, which had only one line. After a week of struggling with the unit, it went back.
The unit is flimsier than the Motorola, the sound is inferior, and the labels are harder to read.
