Rating:  - Dried my vegetables out too much....
I was excited about these storage containers as I eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables and it's hard to keep them for more than a day or so.These containers dried my fruit and vegetables out TOO much.They were dry and shriveled after two days.The only way to solve this was to actually ADD moisture to the containers with a wet paper towel.

I originally purchased these on a very cynical whim.My mom had tried the "bags" which failed miserably so when I ran across this set I really had very low hopes.Well, here are my results:

Rating:  - Failed miserably!
Within 24 hours a container of strawberries had become mushy and one started to mold.The drainage tray takes up considerable amount of space at the base of the container and while the tray keeps the produce from setting in water the container itself is not ventilated enough to prevent condensation from building on the fruit thus supercharging the conditions necessary to grow mold and mildew.

Rating: - Very good price as set, stack well in fridge and for storage
I am not sure how much better these are compared to other containers as far as keeping veggies fresh. However, I like that they have drainage and are completely clear (and rectangular!). Even if they don't keep things fresh longer, I would still recommend them, especially for fruits, salad greens (large size), fresh herbs (esp small size).

I have had the Produce Saver for about 6 weeks and I find that it does a significant job in keeping Produce fresher as opposed to using the original packaging that the produce came in.
I highly recommend the product for anyone who uses produce on a daily basis and thus buys bulk size items (lettuce, grapes, tomatoes, etc.).
