This Calphalon One Infused Anodized Nonstick 12' flat-bottom wok combines two technologies for unparalleled nonstick cooking, Calphalon's exclusive infused anodized technology with a nonstick cooking surface. Four interlocking nonstick layers on the interior coupled with hard-anodized aluminum construction give you efficiency and control over your cooking. The exterior surface of the pan is infused with an advanced release polymer. This polymer prevents food from sticking, resists staining, and is easier to clean than most other surfaces. This nonstick version includes a glass lid that fits snugly, is oven-safe to 450 degrees F, and allows you to monitor your food while cooking. The cookware won't stain, peel or react with acidic ingredients, and promotes uniform searing and browning. This is a really nice wok that heats rapidly all the way up the sides and retains/recovers heat well. The lid is a bonus when you need to finish cooking tough vegetables--like broccoli--with some steam. As with all woks, success ultimately depends on cooking the right amount of food in batches, and in the right order, rather than dumping everything into the pan at once. I recently purchased a 13 piece set of Calphalon Stainless steel cookware, and it was BEAUTIFUL, very high quality, and purchased after much research and deliberation.
I was considering it against the various non-stick lines, and boy am I glad I bought the set I did.This 12 inch wok was a gift with purchase, valued at around $75 on the site selling the set, along with a nice crock of wooden and plastic kitchen tools (a $50 value).

We do a lot of wok cooking at home and have used different wok brands in the past - Teflon and non-Teflon coated, carbon steel, anodized aluminum and even traditional woks bought from "China Town".Although we've used Calphalon cookware, we've never tried their woks, until now.

I'm asian, seriously doubted the ability of a non asian company to make a good wok that's suitable for an asian family.Calphalon erased that doubt 110%!Bought a set for my mom, got this as a free gift, usually freebies are junky stuff, but this wok = 1 word WOW!
