Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - Nothing but trouble Tried installing as mentioned in other reviews--didn't matter. Internet speed SHOWS it's fast but the response is very, very slow.
Put older Linksys WPC100 card back in and connection works just fine. (Yes, I removed all the WPC100 software and rebooted before installing the WPC600).
I'm taking the WPC600N back. Too much hassle. Never buying Linksys again. (The WPC100's program causes memory crashes at shutdown. Lots on the internet about this. Linksys' programs stink.)
Rating: - good choice i was looking to get better performance in terms of the range. it's a good choice for a wireless-N card.
Rating: - great adapter works as advertised, connects to my apple airport with no trouble at all. setup software is quick and easy to use.
Rating: - Works great if you don't use the included software This is a review based upon using this wireless card with a laptop running Windows XP and a Netgear dual band Wireless-N router with 8 internal antennas.
Bottom line up front: this card works great if you do not use the software that came with the device
At first, my experience with this card was very similar to the other reviews. The connection was extremely slow and I could not get it to switch from wireless-A to wireless-N. I could only use A on the 5.0 GHz frequency ... Read More
Rating: - Not impressed, would not recommend I have been running the WPC600N for a week, and it works okay, but does not remember my security key.Every time I log in, I have to retype the key which is very annoying.
My average connection speed is between 5.5 Mbps and 65 Mbps with little rhyme or reason as to why it is faster or slower.
I would not recommend this product until they clean up the software that comes with it, and even then, I am not impressed with the performance.
