Rating: - the good, the bad and the ugly
Pros (the good):
1.)good/intuitive menu system, but read the manual anyway as you will need to know how to adjust the aspect ratio to that of a widescreen as the default is 4:3. And you are buying it for widescreen support right :)
2.)unlike other boxes i have used in the past, this has an internal speaker.So for "close encounters" (1-5ft from your ears) you dont need an external speaker. Quality of internal speaker audio: I would say telephone quality at best.

It would have been a nice thing to buy years ago for anyone who had several devices they wished to add to a TV, but since it does not have an ATSC (HD) tuner, it is essentially obsolete.It worked as advertised, but the advertising talks about HD, which is misleading.One might assume that it had an HD turner, but it does not.Now if it had an HD tuner, it would be a good buy even with a 50% price hike.

The KWorld standalone HDTV Tuner is a nice product.The features are all there although I would have liked to have seen a Video Source button on the main unit instead of just on the remote.

very handy to make use of an old monitor as a new TV. Very easy to set up. The built-in sound is quite poor, so you may want to have a separate set of speakers. It is somewhat less useful for picture-in-picture viewing on a high resolution PC monitor while using your computer: you cannot get both the monitor and TV at the highest resolution at the same time. To KWorld's credit, the company is honest about it. I still have to figure out how to use it with a universal remote.
