Product Description: Twenty years and 1.6 million copies later, this beautiful keepsake book is still a beloved family treasure. This charming album offers an appealing and accessible means for grandmothers to record family history, important events, and favorite anecdotes for their grandchildren. The lovingly illustrated four-color pages include places to write down favorite recipes, unforgettable family celebrations and traditions, and other memories that every grandmother loves to pass down. Inspirational poems and intriguing questions invite grandmothers to share fascinating facts about their lives, including stories about childhood, marriage, their own children, and their perceptions of life today. Although this is a grandmothers' book, there are pages for grandfathers to record their thoughts, too. A wonderful family heirloom, Grandmother Remembers is as lovely and relevant today as it was when it was first published twenty years ago.
Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - Gift with Rave reviews I bought this for a friend after the birth of her first grandchild. She was so pleased and liked the format.Other grandmothers at the shower had received this book in the past and all felt it was a wonderful gift to be able to complete and give to their grandchild. It's a book that I wish someone had completed and given to me as there are so many questions I now have that no one is alive to answer.
Rating: - 4 Grandchildren, 4 books I have 4 grandchildren. I have done a book for each of them. I know their parents appreciate it and I am sure one day my grandkids will too. The format is fantastic and allows plenty of room for photographs. I included information and newspaper articles about relatives who are no longer with us.I think this memory book is special. Very easy format to follow.Be creative!Add your own touches.
Rating: - wonderful legacy for whole family This book is truly beautiful. It is manageable to complete and the prompts lead to the stories of real life. It is very upbeat. She had 2 children, 6 grandchildren, most of whom are grown, and 5 great grandchildren. While my family has always enjoyed the book, we are especially grateful to have it now. We have asked a national photo print shop to make bound copies for all the grands but there is ... Read More

Rating: - Review of Grandmother Remembers: A Written Heirloom for My Grandchild This book provides many topics on which a Grandmother can write: family tree, anecdotes about the grandchild's parents, tales of the grandmother's growing up, family traditions, what Grandfather would want the child to know and much more. The illustrations are sweet and probably best for a Grand daughter. There are spaces for photographs, and "fill-in-the-blanks" so the writer is not at a loss for what to write. I look forward to writing in the book and will do so gradually as my Granddaughter grows ... Read More
