I read the reviews before buying,and thought that the beep wouldn't bother me much.I now wish I had gone for one that doesn't beep.Having a backlight feature with the final reading would have been great too.It isn't awful, but it is annoying.I used it about two weeks, but gave up.

I got this thermometer about a month ago, and it's been great thus far.I was nervous that the beeping would be annoying, but it's not the case - like many other reviewers on here, I find it incredibly useful to know that the thermometer is working, especially when I'm half-asleep.

I don't have much comparison experience as this was the first and only thermometer that I purchased. I enjoy that it keeps the last temperature taken so I don't have to write it down as soon as I take my temperature (as I am usually mostly asleep and not quite coherent). I don't mind the beeping as it notifies me in my groggy mental state that the thermometer is actually working. Also included is a nifty chart for recording your temperature and other goodies.

I did a lot of reviewing before buying my BD Basal Digital Thermometer. I wanted something that most of the people liked, that they found it to be easy to use and very basic. I didn't need a lot of bells and whistles. And I am very pleased with this thermometer.

Rating: - Does its job well!
This thermometer works better than those I have found at stores. It takes a long time, but I think that's just the nature of these thermometers. Once I got used to holding my mouth and my body still for the thermometer to do its thing, it's been great!
