Save you money on this one. The Epson Stylus CX9400fax drinks ink.
I have never printed in color and the colored ink is almost gone
in one month. I have the printer set to print in black only. I have plenty
of black ink left,but very little color. I believe it uses color ink just
sitting idle.

I bought this printer because an Office Max rep told me it was better than the other ones and not having done my own independent research plus being naive enough as to trust a saleperson, I bought it. Here's the warning on this printer:
1. It's not smooth entry slot: I have to send faxes of multiple pages. In just two months use, the paper receiver on the top will only take two pages and dial, leaving the other pages unscanned for fax.

I have owned this printer for about 8 months and am very happy with it.I used it to replace an HP all-in-one that had compatibility issues with Mac OSX.I would say my use is moderate (my wife prints a lot of coupons and flyers) and the ink has lasted about as long, or longer, as other ink jets I have owned.However, I DO leave the printer on 24/7, so perhaps this is why I haven't encountered the ink problems like others. I got tired of buying ink for my HP 6100. It'd just up and decide one day to quit printing. Replaced the ink, and it'd work again for a month or so. Fed up, I picked up a CX9400Fax for the price of HP ink.
I absolutely love this thing. Fast and quiet, I couldn't ask for a better low cost all in one printer.

I have a dedicated printer I use for photos and wanted a cheap all in one that had fax capabilities. I got this when on sale for well under $100 which was a good deal for a basic printer. The problem lies in the ink refills.
As others have said, if just one out of four colors run dry the printer will no longer print documents. After only 3 months of very light use the 3 colors are dry, while black has about %30 left. The weird thing is I print %90 black and white documents, so where is all ... Read More
