I did a lot of research before deciding on this particular disc/cassette/radio player & I'm glad I did. This is a real bargain for the money. It not only does everything, it has a remote to enable you to do it. I take it everywhere when it's on batteries. AND I've rediscovered cassettes! Unlike CDs, you can stop & rewind to the very spot you missed. Can't do that with CDs. The main reason I bought it was to listen to recorded books...disc & cassette. Love it, love it, love it! I LIKE THE RADIO, EASY SETUP OF PROGRAMS AND REMOTE APPLICATIONS; THE ONLY REASON I GAVE A 4 STARS INSTEAD OF 5, WAS BECAUSE THERE IS NOT A LIGHT INDICATOR SHOWING YOU THE RADIO IS ON. I LISTEN TO THE RADIO AT NIGHT WITH A WIRELESS HEADPHONE AND SOMETIMES I TURN OFF THE HEADPHONE AND FORGET TO TURN OFF THE RADIO, IF IT HAD A LIGHT POWER INDICATOR I WOULD HAVE GAVE IT A PERFECT 5 STARS.
Rating: - nice boom box for it's price
It's a nice boom box for it's price. It has decent size speakers and the sound is good. I have it in the kitchen now but I bought it for camping trips.I wanted a new one because my old boom box wouldn't play R/W CD'S but the main thing for me was the cassette player. I'm old school and have a lot oftapes and it's getting harder to find boom boxes with cassette players every year.So with that , the price and the modern styling I'm happy with it.

The radio is great.I needed one for tape playing for some of our homeschooling items and this fit the bill.The remote is just a major bonus since now I don't have to get up and down from the table while we're working...I can just change it from where ever I am.I hope it lasts.
