This A/C Adapter has a light on the transformer to show that it is plugged in which was not a feature on the original adapter. It works great and costs less than the original. Also, it arrived earlier than promised.

There are lots of different specific Compaq Presario laptops out there, and this product does not specify its voltage, output or compatibility by HP part numbers. In addition, there are less expensive replacement AC adaptersspecified as compatible with particular HP parts--for lots less than HP charges, and less that this unidentified electronic recharging object.
