Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - Sony DSC-W55 Camera is junk This is my second camera of this model.I loved the first one I bought last year, but dropped it on the kitchen counter about 12 inches and the lens stopped working.I was quoted $150 to repair it, and instead opted to buy the same model again because it took great photos and thinking the first camera was a lemon.Six months into owning the 2nd camera, the lens quit ejecting. In addition to cheap plastic parts on the sides, this will be my last Sony camera.
Rating: - love this camera!!! I bought this cammera almost a year ago and it has been awesome...one of my favorite things about the camera is the beach setting. Since i live near the beach i spend alot of time there and the pictures really show the rich blue color of the water and there is rarely any blur. The one thing that this camera lacks is capturing in dark situations. When it is dark the pictures often become blurry with wierd streaks of light. Besides that I love this camera...it is tiny so it fits anywhere...it is durable ... Read More
Rating: - Great camera! I got this camera as a gift nearly a year ago, and I've taken it all over the place, including in my pocket all around Europe. It has not let me down once.It takes good pictures and turns on quickly which is important when traveling. It's small enough to fit in your pocket and isn't bulky when put in a similar sized case. The only criticism I would have with this camera is that it can be somewhat sensitive to lighting conditions or can sometimes produce blurry pictures....but on the whole, I would ... Rating: - Noice cam but annying red lazer light I got this camera for my girlfriend and she loves it. It's cute, small, and slick looking. Andmost of the photos taken with it look pretty good. My one complaint with it though, is that when you hold down the button to take a picture it shines this red lazer light into the eyes of the people getting their picture taken and then it goes off...and then it snaps. So not only do they have to squint and hold their pose but then the red light tricks them when it goes off and they start moving ... Read More
Rating: - whoops, not what I thought I must admit that after first purchasing this camera I thought it was a fairly good purchase, however after a recent trip to Disney World with the kids I have to express my new opinion and its not good. After our return home I attempted to print out some of our memories and found that the pictures, which looked wonderful on the viewfinder and on the computer, were of the poorest quality. We bought this camera to replace a cheap 3 mp Kodak easy shot, I wish I still had that camera. The kodak's printed shots ...
