It is a pretty box. I question the durability. Maybe I should write you in a year and let you know. When I opened the package, the first thing i noticed is the metal latch was coming off of the box. It will need to be rehammered in somehow or hot-glued. The "latch hardware" is definitely a bit cheap. The painting on the other hand is nice and the corner drawers are appealing to my 7 year old daughter. This isn't a toy, it's a musical horse jewelry box which my 6 year old granddaughter loves. Though it's made of cardboard, it's extremely sturdy and beautifully decorated. I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely it is. I had family jewelry that I put in it and gave it to her for Valentine's Day. It's a total winner!!

This much coveted music box is a big hit with my 8 year old granddaughter. She now has a special place to put her treasures and enjoy the music of her dancing horse. I highly recommend this for any young girl who is crazy about horses.

We gave the Hideaway Horse Music Box as a gift to our 6 year old daughter. She loved it! She loves the pictures on the outside, and she loves the little "hideaway" boxes for other treasures.
