Frier does what it advertises. I didn't have any problem with the temperature. Fries come crispy and delicious. The only con is that it doesn't come with a big basket, but you can always bought it from the Presto website.

We've tried out the deep fryer to make fish and chips, and our meal was great!It is a chore to clean up though, but that is more a reflection of there being alot of oil.I'm very happy with this purchase!

My husband and i went to my parents house for a short vacation and my dad dried chicken in this. I went to Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowe's and Big Lots looking for this item, I even went on E-Bay (it was much more expensive and used). This is a great product and we use it at least once a week. It is easy to use, great clean-up and quick cooking time.
