Sadly, my 20-year-old Casio G Shock watch has finally died. I bought it for diving in 1988, and I've used it so many times over the years.Since I'm a woman, I was teased for wearing such an "undainty" watch, but when you use it for sports/outdoors, who's looking to be dainty?I highly recommend this watch, and I'm surprised that something good is still being offered! If you're looking for a quality, economical, tough watch, do not hesitate to buy this one!

I decided to get this watch after being disappointed with 2 Timex Ironman wristwatches. I use these watches for my hiking, skiing, mountain biking and phtotography activities. I've only had the watch for a few months so it's very early on but so far, so good.

This is the 2nd or 3rd Casio G-Shock watch I have owned over the past 18-20 years. Too bad that the bracelet/watch band isn't as tough as the watch.
The only issue with my recently purchased ( May 2008) G-Shock is the fact that the chip--or firmware-unsure of the proper terminology--will only support the calender portion of the watch until December 2009 It is too bad that Amazon.com's product description does not state this.
