I have had my iPod nano (Silver 2nd generation) for 2 years now, and it's still ticking right along.I use my iPod mainly for listening to music while exercising (running - on a treadmill during crummy weather and outdoors when it's nice).I've been using it lately to listen to an audio-book, and it does that well, too.

Rating:  - Freezes constanly...
I should have read the reviews for this before I bought it. I purchased it new. It CONSTANTLY freezes up. I only download and listen to audio books on my ipod. The first book download worked perfectly. Not anymore!!!
It has such a hard time when it's time to download!!! It's a pain. I have to constantly reset it (you do this by pushing the menu and the middle circle at the same time, for about 10 seconds) Even after resetting it, it still doesn't work.
