My family has been trying to get away from using nonstick for a while now and the last pan to go has been our nonstick 8" omelet pan (also Kitchenaid). I love to make omelets and needed a pan that is light enough to flip ingredients and doesn't stick. I have a couple of cast iron pans, but they are too heavy and unwieldy to make a proper omelet. Rating: - 8-inch on top - 5 1/2 - inch on bottom This is probably a good pan but I didn't have a chance to use it. I've just had to sent it back because the description forgot to mention the dimentions of the bottom of this skillet - only 5 1/2 inch and it's much smaller than the smallest burner on my glasscooktop. I didn't want to give any stars because I haven't used it but the system didn't let me.
