The Ascensia Contour Blood Glucose Monitoring System tests with only a 0.6 microliter blood sample. Obtain your results in 15 seconds. 240 memory with date and time. PC download option. Ascensia Contour Blood Glucose Monitoring System includes Ascensia CONTOUR Blood Glucose Meter, 5 MICROFILL test strips, Normal Control Solution, MICROLET Adjustable Lancing Device with 5 Lancets, Ascensia CLINILOG Record Diary, Quick Reference Guide, User Guide, carrying case and warranty card. Ascensia CONTOUR Monitoring System Instructions: Hold the round end of the test strip with the gray electrode side up and insert the test strip into the meter until it stops. Bring the tip of the test strip to lightly touch the drop of blood. Hold until the meter beeps. The test result will be displayed after a 15 second countdown. For complete procedure, refer to User Guide. Store meter at room temperature 59-86 degrees F - 15-30 degrees C. Important: Before using these products, read the package inserts carefully. Store them between 59-86 degrees F - 15-30 degrees C -, and out of direct sunlight. Do not use after expiration dates. I have used the Ascensia Contour Monitoring System for about one year now. This is by far the easiest and one of the fastest blood sugar monitors I have seen. Here are my observations:
* Requires very little blood
* Fast readings, 5 seconds
* BIG numbers on display
* Inexpensive test strips (when bought through Amazon), see Ascensia Contour Test Strips Box of 100
* Accurate (I have tested against my doctor's meter)

Rating: - Great meter, lots of features, but very easy to use
I've been diabetic for over 10 years and used a variety of glucometers. This has been the best and easiest to use right out of the box.It requires a pindrop sample and gives an accurate result in only 5 seconds.
The display is quite large for those with eyesight difficulties.It comes with a carrying case to hold the meter, a lancet, and a vial of test strips.You don't even have to take the meter out of the case to use it...just unzip the case and pop in a test strip!

The Ascensia Contour Monitoring System is everything I had hoped.It is compact and so easy to use.I appreciate the effort put into a design that requires so little blood sample and can be extract from a variety of places.The product was shipped quickly and received in great condition.I have only praise for both the product and the process.
Rating:  - only 6 testing stick? !
i ordered this as a gift for my grandma, who is suffering from diabetes now. She hasn't started to use it so i am not so sure about how it functions. But when she opened the pack , she found out that there were only 6 pieces of testing paper or whatever, she was sort of disappointed. Because that means she can only do 6 tests before i get her more testing paper.
Well, anyway, i am looking for the testing paper which is selling separatedly now~~and hope there are some~~
