I've been buzzing my own hair for a dozen years or so now. I'm a white male in my early 30s with thin/ thinning hair on top. The in-and-out chain barbers do a terrible job, and if you want a good cut from a real barber, it'll cost you more. So me, being cheap, I've gone through several of these cheaper clipper sets over the years - Remingtons, Wahls, Conairs, all without much success. Rating:  - Can't go wrong with ANDIS
I've purchased this trimmer as replacement for my Andis outlinner II that broke (think this one's me).
It cuts as sharp as the old one but doesn't get warm up as quick so overall it's a great trimmer that comes with a variety of attachments combs and the best of all the bear brush that help prevent ingrown hair (dry shaving).
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to the location of the switch...compared to the old one (located at the top), I've found myself turning it off accidentally.

I have gone through many machines of this kind, however this one is more reliable and works better, after a while the machine's noise elevated, I oiled and still the motor is making more noise than it should. over all so far it is doing a good job.
