I like this item very much. It works well and the heat generated is very low. Also, the delivery is superb. It arrived very fast.

Bought this product and it worked flawlessly up until it died after 1 year and 7 months.Resets were very uncommon, happening once every 3 months or so, although these were probably only needed due to errors by the ISP.I did run this modem 24x7 365 which may have led to its demise, but also it may have just been a bad apple; therefore, I'm giving it a 4 star rating.

Rating:  - Motorola warranty procedure STINKS!
I purchased this cable modem four months ago. It worked fine - for four months - then it started dropping the connection. Turns out, the connections for the ethernet cable are defective at the circuit board level. (No physical damage or stress caused the defect - it sits safely in a closed media closet.) Motorola agreed to replace it but I must pay for the shipping of the new one to me or else wait for two weeks while I send the defective one to them. Once they get it they will send another to me ...
