We bought this set a few days ago, sorry not from amazon, but this i wanted to add my review as I felt there are some issues to clear up. We bought this set because we wanted to get away from teflon which may have negative side effects on your body with long term use.

I have to give the Calphalon Contemporary cookware 3 stars because while they're beautiful, feel nice in the hand, and seem well made, they do NOT work on an induction (aka, electromagnetic) stove (requires magnetic cookware) even though they're supposedly stainless steel.I bought several pieces, popped them on the stove, and the stove didn't "recognize" them at all.I checked them with a magnet, and sure enough, there seems to be almost NO iron in them (either the stainless exterior & interior ... I purchased this set of calphalon cookware based on the reviews and the strong brand name.Huge Disappointment!!! The pans look beautiful as you take them out of the box.Take a picture because they will never look this nice again unless you enjoy polishing your cookware after you wash it.These pans show water spots everywhere!But on to the reason you are thinking of buying them. I had purchased this set after deciding on a Calphalon Tri-ply set. I had done alot of research on the Triply set but after seeing these in store, I wanted them. I love the brushed look plus they are the same triply performance. The handles on this set are twice as thick and much more comfortable.
