Beforeshipment, your new furniture received a generous applicationof teak oil. Teak oil provides protection from the ultravioletsunrays. Left untreated, Kapur will weather to a soft warmshade of gray similar to the weathering of teak. If you preferto prevent this weathering process, you may apply additionalcoats of teak oil. The frequency of necessary teak oilapplications will depend on the intensity of the sun in yourenvironment, but typically, one or two coats per year issufficient. Teak oil can usually be found at a marine dealer,hardware store, or internet dealer. If you allow yourfurniture to weather, you may later decide that you would wantto restore it to its original condition. This is possible byusing teak cleaner products, also available at most marinedealers and internet dealers. After following the instructionsfor cleaning, you will want to apply a coat of teak oil toprevent the weathering process.

I wanted heavy, low maintenance lounges for my new deck.The two I ordered arrived the day after I ordered them; can you believe it!!!! They are very heavy and sturdy.I found pads on 'end of year' sale at the local K-Mart, and I even had about 10 days of sunshine available to use them. Thank you, Norma

I have only had for a few weeks and havent used much but seems to be a very resonable purchace, price vs quality, cant beet it. The small shelf that slides to the left or right is handy but gets a little sticky when wet, no big deal.

this lounge, apparently made by a shell company because there is no corporate listing for "Strathwood", was made in Vietnam and reflects sub-standard production.Many of the pre-drilled holes do not line up with their mates, a couple so bad that I had to fill the holes with dowels and then re-drill them.The hardware is in metric sizes and the puny allen wrenches are not strong enough to tighten up misaligned connectors, so I had to dig up some metric tools to finish the job.I contacted Amazon ... Easy to assemble. Light and easy to maneuver, but very sturdy wood and construction. Very comfortable to lay around the pool.
