Love these and use them literally every day!It doesn't bother me at all the head and handle are separate pieces because I haven't had them come apart during use at all and I have used these often.I do not put mine in the dishwasher though and perhaps that is where the problem is - maybe the heat from repeated dishwasher use causes them to contract and loosen.Personally I prefer to hand wash mine, which is not a problem since whenever I'm using them, I usually have something else I'm handwashing ... I wanted spatulas with a silicone handle so I could put them in the dishwasher. The ones with wooden handles have to be handwashed, and that can be a pain. These are heat resistant and dishwasher safe, but not at all sturdy. The heads of the spatulas are too soft and bend a little too much, and they also slide off of the handles. Rating: - DON'T LICK THE FROSTING OFF THESE SPATULAS
Leaves a chemical after-taste if you like to lick the frosting off the spatula.Having said that, these spatulas do work very well, don't stain and don't cost too much.
