The Trudeau stainless steel vegetable steamer has a familiar, blossom-shaped design that folds to look rather like a flying saucer. It sits on three sturdy steel legs that keep the basket out of boiling water during steaming. Trudeau Stainless Steel Vegetable SteamerThis product is well made and steams my vegetables well.Other products that I have used in the past were not well made and the leaves for the steamer basket fell apart.Before purchasing this product you should make sure that it fits into your pot because it is larger than other steamer baskets I have used in the past.

Super design, but it's BIG - fits a large pot.Perfect for a 5-Quart 'Dutch Oven' - diameter about 10-inches.It's too big for a 3-Quart pot - sad that some people were disappointed that way.
Has rubber/plastic feet - won't scratch pot.Plastic center handle has low specific heat - no worries about burned fingers - also extends 2-inches - better lift stability.Over the years we've had several steamers - this is the best. (Weight: 11-ounces)
