I purchased this "Outdoor Trash Hideaway" for indoor use, mostly because I was trying to outsmart--how sad is that?--our Cocker Spaniel who loves to knock over and get into the kitchen trash. So far this product has been successful in thwarting her attempts. The can itself is sturdy and attractive enough to keep in our mudroom/pantry.
