Rating: - Disposable society
I like many others bought an IPOD that soon failed after the original warranty expired. Hard drive died. The price to fix it is the same as buying a new one so guess what? Apple recommends you buy a new one. Of course. They don't make them to last because if they did their profits would go down. For some reason I I thought apple products lasted longer but I was shocked with the number of people at the 'Genius Bar' with broken Ipods. It seems they don't last more than a few years if you're lucky. ... Read More
Rating: - Don't buy used if you can afford it.
I loved each of my iPods dearly...Dearly. Over the past 7-8mo I have bought 5 different ones. Each one did the dreaded "sad ipod" face either immediately or within a few days. My most recent one lasted a few months, miraculously. They all stopped functioning out of nowhere; I never dropped or hit any of them to cause this. Evidently the previous owner(s) did not take care of the ipod themselves. I would not recommend buying this used, and if you do, please buy a Squaretrade.com warranty. That saved ... Read More
Rating: - No complaints so far...
I purchased this item for my daughter for Christmas. She has had absolutely no complaints. That means that this little music maker is a hit with her. If she is satisfied...so am I!!!

I want to say that my iPod came to me perfectly and perhaps it did, except the instruction manual I received was in French (and I can't read French yet), so I haven't made time to find out how I can find out how to use the darn thing. I figured out some of it on my own but I'm still a little lost. At first I thought the battery wasn't holding a long charge, but now I think it may be ok. But since I have been unable to really use it since I don't know how as yet, I don't know for sure... I would rate ... Read More
Rating: - spinning hard drive in pocket....not a great idea
Great when it works. The hard drives are not great though and once it starts to freeze sell it quick or plan in getting another. Repairing it will cost as much as buying a new one. If you have a service plan turn it in near the end of your plan for sure. I have owned three models and cared for them well. Only one lasted more than a year before choking and dying. It was always the hard drive! I am ready for flash memory in these things the spinning hard drive models are crap -- fundamentally a bad idea, ... Read More
