The Whirlpool 8171413 Ice and Water filter fits Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and Kenmore refrigerators where the filter is located inside the refrigerator compartment. This filter cartridge replaces WFI-NL200, 2204326, and Kitchenaid part number 8171787, which may be mentioned in your manual. It improves the taste and odor of the water and removes the following impurities: 99% of Chlorine, Taste/Odor. It Does Not Remove Flouride. Whirlpool recommends that you replace the filter Every 6 months OR If the refrigerator has not been used for more than two weeks (for instance, during a move) OR If you notice a decrease in the flow of water or objectionable tastes in the water or ice.
