Rating: - Loud and reliable, even in the rain!
I've used a few other whistles and none can compare to the Fox 40.It's super loud and reliable, even in the rain which we get plenty of out here in the NW.
Rating: - Perfect product
Used it for a couple of years for calling basketball games. As previously stated, no moving parts makes it unable to jam, perfect sound if you blow hard enough, and you need nothing more. Affordable too.

The Fox 40 whistle is so simple that it amazes me that anyone ever used pea whistles for professional sports officiating.The loud blasts stops game action in its tracks, and players and spectators will tend to respect you more.

This is a great whistle - commands attention and extremely loud.Make sure you give it plenty of air, it blows loud or not at all.Lots of fun to use as well.I highly recommend this for anyone (official, coach, PE teacher) who needs to get students' attention quickly.

I referee several sports, and the Fox 40 Classic has been the best whistle that I've ever used. It never fails to sound, unlike traditional whistles, and is loud enough to be heard over the loudest crowds. It's no wonder that the Fox 40 is trusted by so many officials.
