I searched high and low for a solid, well made teakettle to replace a 20 year old Revere Ware kettle.The current Revere Ware kettles seem to be made out of metal the thickness of aluminum foil.I wanted the same basic design - fill from the spout, without a separate removable lid in the middle that seems to be problematic on many kettles (causes the whistle to not work if the lid doesn't seal perfectly).

This was purchased because we like the Circulon Cookware and use it exclusively. However if I had looked at the teakettle in the store I would not have purchased it. The kettle is heavy and I never know how much water is in it. There is a maximum fill line but no way to know how close you are to the line. The latch does not work to keep the spout lid open.
Rating: - Very decent little kettle
This is a great little kettle at a very good price. My only complaint is that the handle gets a little too hot to handle without an oven mit.

I really am very satisfied with this kettle.The capacity is right for the four of us and it looks wonderful.The wide base helps to capture the heat on my gas range therefore keeping the wait time to a minimum.Just a gentle wipe on the stainless steel body after filling keeps it looking first-rate.Filling is one of the reasons it is not a 5-star.I don't mind having to fill the pot via the spout but the whistling cap does not open past 90degrees.This means you have to almost stand the kettle ...
