I picked this up in a store a month ago & have been toasting ever since. My toast comes out even every time. Regular loaf bread, english muffins, bakery bread...all toasting just right. Easy dial allows you to set your toasting preference, cancel & defrost buttons with an easy clean removable crumb tray. Rating:  - Looks great, low quality.
It's funny, but the last time I bought a toaster from a brand I normally think of as quality, it stunk too. That was a Krups ToastSupreme Compact.
To look at the other reviews, I'd guess that Oster is having significant quality control problems here. My toaster has a darkness knob that doesn't appear to do anything, and toasts so light at the highest setting that I have to toast everything but Pop Tarts twice. This is a nice toaster and my mom really enjoys this very much. She likes having the extra big slots for bagels and such. It has more options than i though making it a very nice toaster.

Rating: - Looks great and works pretty well
I really liked the looks of this toaster.It also has some really nice features.There is one drawback the slots are so deep that it is hard to get out regular sized bread without potential burning and/or using a fork.But it toasts great and really looks nice on the countertop.
