I've been using pressure cookers all my life; I know how to use them and what to expect.
This KR pressure cooker isn't worth the money or cleanup time!
Its lid design is inherently flawed - the gasket fits inside the rim, as expected, but the lid has openings along the gasket line, and no matter how well I work to seat it properly, while coming to pressure and cooking, air and liquid leak past the gasket through the holes.

We have three Kuhn Rikon pressure cookers that we use almost every time we cook - this is the main cookware we use.It's fast, easy, and it saves energy because it takes less time to cook.And the food's gret - I like eating at home better than any restaurant.
Rating: - Very Happy With My 12 Liter Pressure Cooker!
I have used my pressure cooker a couple of times and am very pleased with
how quiet it is and easy to set at the desired pressure. A snap to clean
and good capacity for servings of 4 or more people.
I would strongly recommend this item.

I bought this pressure cooker after having used my Kuhn Rikon 2.5 and 5 quart models for the past five years. I love this brand and have been more than satisfied every time I use them. I wanted something a bit larger so that I could double soup recipes and cook corn on the cob, and this 12 quart model certainly fits the bill! I replaced my 8 qt. Presto PC with this one a few years back.I bought this one because of it's big enough to make large batches of soup.I make the best homemade soups and stews in record time.
This thing is solid and well crafted, best of all, no loose parts.I disagree with the person who complained about the short handles.For a pot this size, I think that you are less likely to spill when the handles are even.I've never burned myself.I would highly reccomend this pressure ... Read More
