Product Description:
Calphalon Tri-Ply Copper unites centuries-old culinary tradition with distinctive style. Featuring graceful curves and a stunning combination of expertly finished, tri-bonded metals, this new collection is as beautiful as it is hard-working. A brushed copper exterior and aluminum inner core combine for superior conductivity (the best that there is) and precise cooking control for spectacular results. Fine-satin, brushed stainless steel interior won't react to foods and won't tarnish or change colors even when cooking acidic foods like tomato sauce. Other features include flared rims for easy pouring, well-riveted, curved handles that stay cool to the touch during stovetop use and stainless steel lids that trap steam, heat and flavors. All Tri-Ply Copper cookware is oven- and broiler-safe. Handwash and dry thoroughly to avoid any spots. This 10-pc. set includes: 8-in. Omelette Pan, 10-in. Omelette Pan, 1.5-qt. Sauce Pan with Lid, 2.5-qt. Sauce Pan with Lid, 3-qt. Saute Pan with Lid and a 6-qt. Stockpot with Lid.

Amazon.com Review:
This set is a wonderful acquisition or gift for gourmet cooks who are just as concerned with the appearance of their cookware as they are with its performance. The set includes all the necessary pieces for a complete kitchen: 8-inch and 10-inch omelet pans, a 3-quart covered sauté pan, a 6-quart covered saucepot, and 1-1/2- and 2-1/2-quart covered saucepans.

Part of Calphalon’s premium Tri-Ply Copper line, this brilliant stainless-steel and copper-accented cookware cooks beautifully and looks gorgeous. The pan’s exterior is crafted of copper--the superior metal for heat conduction--while a heavy-gauge aluminum core runs through its center. The combination of these two metals provides more exact control while cooking and excellent end results. The interior is made of 18/10 stainless steel, which is nonreactive to acidic foods and offers a reflective surface that makes it easier to know when foods are completely cooked. This cookware has Calphalon’s patented stainless-steel Cool-V handles that stay cool to the touch on the stovetop and stainless-steel lids that fit snugly onto the pan for a tight seal. All Tri-Ply Copper cookware is oven-safe up to 450 degrees F and is covered by a lifetime warranty.--Cristina Vaamonde

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Passed our crepe test
Very pleased with the appearance of these pans.Bought them in Crate and Barrel, got home eager to test them.Decided the perfect test would be to make crepes in the 10 inch frying pan. After heating the pan, I noticed the immediate formation of exotic colors and starburst design in the copper bottom; visually stunning. After seeding the pan with a thin coat of oil and heating it up to a fairly high temperature, I applied a thin layer of butter just before pouring in mixture.A thin delicate ... Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - You'll get what you pay for.
I was excited to get such a beautiful set of copper pans for such a low price, however, I was disappointed. They are lightweight (not much copper), and they don't conduct heat nearly as well as my more expensive copper pan. But what is even more disappointing than the food sticking (especially in the fry pans--I can't make a crepe in these without ripping it) is the horrible yellow color they are turning. While my expensive copper pan has developed abeautiful deep red patina, the Calphalon pans ... Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - ??????????
My wife and I got these as a wedding gift from my parents. We've been "trying" to cook on them for over a year and are yet to have something not stick. Even fresh vegetable will stick. We have a calphalon "nonstick" pan also and that even sticks. Even on the lowest possible setting on the range everything sticks. I'm not sure why the $20 target brand i used in college worked better than the $500 calphalon set. You're wife will try to convince you how great these will look hanging up above your range, ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Quality to Price Ratio!
I am shocked to read some of the reviews that complain about the copper discoloration! It's copper, you should have known this!!!Also, how is it the fault of the cookware if you cannot cook an egg without a nonstick pan? (sounds like the cook and not the cookware!)These pans are great, and easily the highest quality ever offered by Calphalon. The copper exterior makes them super responsive, giving you perfect results. One small quibble is I feel that the fry pans are a bit lighter than my All-Clads ... Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - You'll be dissapointed
My wife and I were super excited to get this set as a wedding gift. The pans look beautiful and we were eager to start using some great cookware. The first dissapointing thing was that the color didn't last a single day.As soon as you start using these pans they start discoloring and forming unsightly spots.Yes, this can be polished out, but you'll be spending a lot of time on it, and you're not likely to keep it up.The second, and by far the biggest dissapointment is that these pans really don't cook ...
