When my laptop power adapter started acting up and wouldn't charge properly, I panicked as I have to have my laptop up and running. My son suggested I check amazon for a new one.I went there and found the adapter I needed and ordered it. I absolutely love Apple, but this adapter is a fire hazard.My cord like so many others got a tear in it(only noticed this break after examining the cord later).I was sitting there writing an e-mail when all of a sudden smoke started coming from where the adapter plugs into the computer.Luckily I was home, and even luckier than that was on my computer when this happened.I would suggest to stop using the adapter that comes with your mac and get an alternative like Macally, because the cord is ... Yep read the other posts, I am going to go check out the iGo Juice.Our Apple Extra Portable 65W Power Adapter is total shot.It is now dangerous becuase you have to wiggle it so much in the wall jack to get a connection it is a hazard.And my kids use the imac the most
