Product Description: Juice bars and cocktail parties are more popular than ever, so it's no surprise to find this Waring commercial quality MegaMix Blender, a premier model for the home or professional bartender. If you're tired of replacing your usual blender every 3 to 5 years, get the one that's designed for nonstop performance. A 1-hp motor effortlessly blends and purees whole fruits, wheat grass and your favorite smoothie add-ins, in addition to crushing ice, in seconds. You'll be serving margaritas and frozen drinks before a line forms, and shakes come out creamy and delicious. A puzzle-style mount ensures your carafe is held securely in place, and the solid steel base won't tip over in the midst of blending. Base is Brushed Stainless Steel and the blender carafe is made of clear polycarbonate, so it's light enough to handle yet resists chipping or cracking. It's one blender that's designed to last through constant blending and still come out working like a MegaMix.About Waring... Waring has been a household name in quality appliances, particularly blenders, for decades. The company began when Fred Waring, noted bandleader, was pitched the idea for a blender back in 1938. As he toured with his orchestra, he demonstrated the blender to anyone who would watch, and from there the 4-cup Blending Jar with chrome base and a single on/off switch went into production. It has since evolved into the
Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - Mega Mix The Mega Mix was impossible to find in retail stores and it is the most powerful for heavy fruit smoothies and such. I wish it had a retractable cord to take up less counter space; also the base feet are never quite level causing it to teeter a litte. Despite those things, if you want the best blender for power and one you'll probably never throw out, this is it.
Rating: - kitchen workhorse I have had this blender around 3 years. My wife and I use it primarily for soups, smoothies, and crushing ice. It is used at least once per week and we consider it a necessary part of the kitchen. It was my 4th blender and the first one I was happy with. The first three broke down during crushing ice. I had seen several smoothie shops were using this model or the very similar Waring "Margarita Madness?" model, which was available before they released this model to the home market.

Rating: - Very powerful, very aggressive I got this blender to crush ice, and it does that easily. It is good looking and very high powered, but it is also very noisy, and unpleasant to use. When I turn it on, the lights dim, and even with only water in the carafe it is extremely loud. The motor also emits an unpleasant odor with even the lightest use.Overall the blender is sturdy and powerful, it's just no fun to use.I don't feel comfortable using it in the morning for fear of waking up everyone in the building.

Rating: - Waring Commercial Blender My blender is about 20 years old so it is a little different from the ones in the pictures. The only major difference is the new ones have a better connection system between the motor and the blade. Mine was sold as a commercial bar blender and uses the old style carafe
The real reason I am writing this is one reviewer said their carafe was leaking. I solved that problem years ago by buying a SS carafe made for use in Labs. I bought mine from a medical supply vender. You can also find them ... Read More
Rating: - Lid doesn't fit... The lid on this product doesn't fit the pitcher.I thought it was b/c the product was new and it had to be broken in but I've been using it and it's still too tight - I have to struggle to put the lid on.No other issues with the product but it's a bit annoying to struggle to palce the lid on everytime I try to use it.
