This pressure cooker features a single pressure setting in a spring valve mechanism operated by a dial format. The user may choose between pressure setting and automatic pressure release positions. This Splendid pressure cooker holds a maximum capacity of 4 quarts of Italian chicken soup or beans with sausage and works on all heat sources. The cooker is constructed of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel with an encapsulated aluminum base for even and efficient heat distribution. For safety, the pressure cooker has dual pressure settings on its handle--one in a dial control and another on a valve. Over the years we have owned numerous Pressure Cookers. We use this every day and it is easily the best Pressure Cooker we have ever owned.
Rating: - Great for beginners
Fagor Splendid 4 quart pressure cooker has made my experience with it a positve one. I can cook meals during the week that I would normally wait for the weekends. It has a quick release valve and the lid stays locked until all the pressure is gone.
Rating: - Just What I Wanted
I purchased this item for 47 dollars now that our economy is collapsing.I've always wanted a stainless steel pressure cooker, and this one performsadmirably.It does not have a lot of complicated features or mechanisms to get in the way of it's intended purpose.It's just complicated enough to get the job done, and get it done safely.
It does require you to read the manual.I see some reviews on here that say pieces of the mechanism melted over time, or that steam constantly ... Read More
Rating:  - Bad purchase
Fagor quality has really deteriorated in the past few years. I had originally bought this same cooker a few years back and it worked great but just bought a new one and the workmanship is terrible
The lid dosent close properly, it grinds as you try to cloes it, you can see that the pieces (top and the base) dont align well, the handle is a mess.
I would not buy this company product again

This one is great the Splendid Model. I bought the dual model but it did not keep the steam in as good as this model for brewing stews and stuff, where it has to be under pressure for a while. I liked this model much better.
