Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Le Creuset Precision Pour Saucepan - The reason most sauce recipes begin with 'In a heavy saucepan?' is because sauces need to simmer slowly and evenly. Le Creuset's cast iron construction ensures consistent heating, resulting in slow and even simmers. The porcelain enamel interior is perfect for high-acid sauces because the non-metallic coating does not react or leach into your food. The weight of cast iron lids ensures a tight seal to retain moisture. Traditional Le Creuset's saucepan designs have a flat base, a pouring lip and cast iron handles. Each pan is well balanced, comfortable to use and stable on most heat surfaces.

Amazon.com Review:
Beautiful enough for the table, durable enough to outlive its lifetimewarranty against defects, this heavy 1-1/4-quart covered saucepan is made ofcast iron clad in two coats of Le Creuset's famous hard enamel. As cast iron isunexcelled for heat distribution and retention and enamel is impervious to acidsand odors, the pan cooks food evenly and gently without hot spots and can beused for marinating. It goes safely on any stovetop, including induction. Thepan's heavy, tight-fitting lid has a tiny hole for venting steam. Its roundhandle tapers at both ends for comfort and is made of a tough plastic that isovenproof to 400 degrees F and textured for slip-resistance. Opposite the longhandle is a helper handle. A chrome hanging hole permits storing the pan whereits rustic appeal can be appreciated. Like all Le Creuset cast-iron cookware, the pan was made in France using a one-of-a-kind mold that ensures each piece'suniqueness. --Fred Brack

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great all purpose pan
Great for a variety of tasks, but especially for heating and pouring soup.Use this pan to replace a Le Creuset pan I bought in 1967, which was still going strong, but which I managed to fatally damage due to "operator error".

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Severely Biased
That's right, I am a severely biased reviewer of this product because I have been using Le Creuset for a couple years and have absolutely nothing negative to say about any piece. Not only do they clean up great but they add color to your kitchen. I have four pieces and all four are different colors. It is almost impossible to burn anything in this cookware. As my anodized aluminum wears out I have been replacing them with Le Creuset, probably the best cookware on the planet, well worth the money.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Product
Le Creuset is fabulous. The product is even better with the newer handle style. My other Le Creuset products have been in use for 30 years.I suspect this one will last as long.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - AWESOME/VERY PLEASED
THIS WAS MY THIRD PIECE OF LE CREUSET AND I HAVE TO SAY, I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE PRODUCT.I USE IT FOR EVERYTHING, HEAT UP GRAVY FOR MASHED POTATOES, VEGETABLES, OATMEAL, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!I WILL SAY IT DOES TAKE A LITTLE LONGER TO HEAT UP IN THE BEGINNING, BUT ONCE IT GETS STARTED IT IS GREAT.CLEAN UP WAS A BREEZE, ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL.LITTLE HEAVY, BUT YOU GET USED TO IT.BEAUTIFUL LOOKING, BOUGHT IT IN THE FLAME COLOR - LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.IF YOU WANT TO INVEST IN PREMIUM ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fanstatic Little Pan
I received this as part of a set from my husband, who knew I'd been drooling over the Le Creuset lineup for years now.I was initially concerned that with the usable space at roughly 5 1/2" wide by 4" deep, it might be too small to be really useful but was quickly proven wrong - it's perfect for heating up a serving of soup or milk for hot chocolate. The lid fits snugly and the steam vent does what it's supposed to, no dripping water everywhere.Cleans up easily with soap and water, the handles are ...
