During brushing, up to 100 trillion negative ions are emitted per second, which in turn break down odors and reduce dander. As an added bonus, the brush emits ultrasonic waves that help repel fleas. The extra-wide brush head with sturdy plastic bristles tackles large and/or long-haired animals, including dogs, cats, and horses. The brush plate easily removes for cleaning with warm, soapy water. One 9-volt battery is required (not included). An LED light flashes green when the brush is turned on and red when the battery runs low. Bought this brush for a friend, for her animals.She's used it on almost all of them so far, and it works very well.She hasn't had any trouble with it at all.
The cats don't like it though. They "think it is going to eat them".A smaller brush with softer bristles might work better for them.
The dogs and horses love it!
