Editorial Review:

Album Description:
2002 debut album for duo comprised of musician/vocalistImogen Heap & producer/arranger/songwriter/musician GuySigsworth (who's worked with Bjork on 'Homogenic' &'Vespertine' & Madonna on 'What It Feels Like for aGirl').

Amazon.com:
Named after the French word for the rustle of silk, Frou Frou's debut album exudes cool, stylish elegance. Singer Imogen Heap's soft, whispery vocals intone dreamy lyrics of doomed romances and slow recoveries. The songs are penned by Heap and her partner, producer Guy Sigsworth (Björk, Madonna), who manned the board on Heap's 1998 solo album I Megaphone. Even the mighty Brian Eno gets into the act, with a cowriting credit on the soul-bearing 'Hear Me Out.' In fact, all 11 tracks deal with love and fractured relationships, hauntingly beautiful both in their stark emotional content and the equally sparse arrangements that showcase Heap's ethereal voice, which she uses as a subtle weapon, much like Joni Mitchell circa 1970's Ladies of the Canyon, with the same heart-stopping yet effortless octave leaps. --Jaan Uhelszki

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Discovered Imogen Heap While Enroute to Paris
I was on a long and boring flight to Paris when this album popped up on my in-flight radio program. After listening to two songs, I just knew had to get my hands on a copy of the CD. I listened to the album all summer and really enjoyed sharing it with my friends. When I got back to America I had to buy a second copy because I gave my first copy away.

My favorite songs are "Hear Me Out" and "Flicks". I could listen to these two songs for the rest of my life and never get tired of them. ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - frou frou "details" all that and more...
I bought this cd after hearing Alanis Morrissette's "Flavors Of Entanglement" I wanted to know what other music her producer "Guy Sigsworth" producer for that album had done and discovered frou frou "Details". I was not disappointed and quite impressed. Even more so than with Alanis's album -which I absolutely love. The cd opens up with a kind of electronic tune that runs throughout the whole album but all cuts are unique and musically touching with wave after wave of textured layers of electronica ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Modern Masterpiece
In the few months since I've gotten Frou Frou's Details, it has become one of my absolute favorite albums (along with Imogen Heap's Speak For Yourself). It's some of the most calming music I've ever heard; it's technically and musically superb.

1. Let Go
This was the first Imogen Heap song I've ever heard and from the get-go I was researching her and trying to find anything I could. This song is nothing short of amazing; my favorite part being the sweeping outro (what instrument is ... Read More
