Editorial Review:
Product Description: Circulon guarantees that food won't stick to this casserole, and that it will outlast all other non-sticks. Now those are words to live and cook by! The patented rings provide a hi-lo cooking surface that gives food little to stick to, and the additional coating of non-stick material closes up any loopholes. So go ahead, make a rich cheesey casserole, it will slip right out of the pan. Holes in the lid of this pan also allow you to use it for cooking pasta, potatoes and other foods in liquid. When the cooking is completed simply tip and drain off the cooking liquid through your choice of small or large holes.
Amazon.com Review: Coated inside and out with rugged nonstick, Circulon 2 cookwareeliminates the chore of scrubbing pots and pans. Inside their bottoms,Circulon's patented Hi-Low system of concentric grooves creates narrowridges to take utensil abuse, leaving low, wide grooves unscathed toreadily release food and ensuring long life for the nonstick coating.Beneath the nonstick is harder-than-steel anodized aluminum. Pot andpan bottoms are left uncoated to conduct heat quickly and prevent hotspots. Slip-resistant synthetic grips on riveted, polished,stainless-steel handles stay cool on the stovetop and go safely in anoven up to 350 degrees F. Heavyweight, 18/10 stainless-steel lidspolished to a mirror finish present a gleaming contrast to theattractive, charcoal gray, enamel-like appearance of Circulon 2'snonstick exterior.
This 5-1/2-quart casserole pot comes with a cleverly designedcolander-like lid that locks onto the pot with a twist. On its sides, patterns of holes (one set small, the other large) allow liquid to bepoured from the pot without the lid slipping. That means pasta can bedrained right in the pot before sauce is added. Or braising liquid canbe poured off for saucemaking. In addition, the Hi-Low concentricgrooves climb an inch or so up the pot's rounded sides, permittingthorough stirring and scraping without damaging the nonstick coating.Without its lid, the pot stands 4-5/8 inches high and measures 10-1/2inches in diameter. It carries a lifetime warranty against defects andshould be hand washed. --Fred Brack
Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - My wife loves this stuff. My wife loves this stuff. I have added several pieces over the last year. Excellent non-stick cooking but must be hand washed for it is not dishwasher safe.
Rating: - I'll have you know, I can boil water... Due to a confluence of circumstances four years ago when I was in the market for a new set of cookware I was able to try out 10" skillets from Analon and Circulon classic. After using each for a few days, I felt the Circulon unit with its' ridged non-stick interior surface heated more efficiently and was easier to clean. After a price check, I decided to purchase the full set. However, when I saw the subtle changes in the beveled interior configuration of the Circulon2 cookware I decided to opt for ... Read More
Rating: - Good Pasta Pot I have cooked pasta in this several times- it cooks evenly and the pasta does not stick. The pot is easily cleaned by hand-washing. I LOVE the strainer lid!
Rating: - Perfect!!! I used it for the first time this evening and it was great! The lid fits tightly and locks into place so it's very easy to drain the cooking liquid without worrying about the main ingredient ending up in the sink. I have a set of Circulon Classic cookware that I bought four years ago and it still looks almost new (and I cook at home almost every day). Fortunately, the "Circulon 2" design is a very close match to the "Classic" design, and I have no doubt that it will prove to be just as durable. It's ... Read More
Rating: - So easy to use and convenient! I've owned this pot for over a year and absolutely love it. No more fussing with a separate colander to strain spaghetti. The pot is stick-free and easy to clean, too. It's a must-have item.
