If your going to buy a minidisc make sure you've done your research.This minidisc has been perfect for me but I made sure it did what I wanted first.It's tiny.Marginally bigger than a minidisc in it's case and really lightweight.I think this has been acheived by moving all the battery charging function into the supplied cradle.The headphones are crap, replace them (senheisser earbuds are good), although that's true with most portable players.The big saving grace is the battery life.... I whole heartedly agree with the above statement stressing that a CD/Mp3 capable player can fit a much greater deal of music onto the one cd compared to the Minidisc's offering of 74mins or sometimes the higher capacity 80min.

Mini Discs are not the best choice when it comes to portable music players. They are actually the worst. They look nice and designy though, but that's it!
I used to buy Minidiscs and I have a minidisc (model Sony MZ-N1 Net MD player/recorder) and I thought it was the best thing,...But I changed my mind after I got a compact CD player that also reads MP3's.
