I WAS "TOTALLY" DISAPPOINTED. MY HENCKELS KNIVES DIDN'T FIT "PROPERLY" IN THE SLOTS.I RECOMMEND PURCHASING THE "ENTIRE" SET OF "YOUR CHOICE" OF HENCKEL BLOCK KNIVES.

J.A. Henckels' knife storage block is ok for those of us who look for a workable reasonably priced way of storing knives.The wood is not as highly polished as it appears on the photos and the little Henckels logo block on the front is of a slightly different grain of wood.However, everything matches well enough to put on my new kitchen counter and I enjoy the convenience of countertop storage.The price at $19.99 is reasonable in my opinion for this very functional item.

This thing is great, a few bucks and my $140 Shun, $70 Kyocera etc. are bung free and safe... no brainer, nice quality...
Rating: - Huge unremovable "Free Gift with Purchase" Label
I just bought this with some knives to give as a present. I was quite upset to see a huge "Free Gift with Purchase" label plastered all over the front of it. There is no way to remove the label.And there was no mention of this promotion in the item description.I have contacted Amazon customer service and haven't received any response. Just be aware if you're buying this as a gift.

An excellent product! Knives should be dry before using block for storage otherwise, a water stain will develop at each slot over time.
