Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Solid Video Magazine for Hobbiest and "Prosumer'
"Computer Videomaker" is a fairly slick magazine for hobbiest and advanced video makers. For the subscription price it is a good value, but can be a little light on serious content from month to month. The reviews and "how to" sections are usually well written and informative.

This magazine falls in between Videomaker (for consumers) and Dv Magazine (for professionals).

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good information every issue.
Text books are great, but outta date.

I get the best information from trade magazines. In my opinion, this has always been the best for the Videomaker.I first subscribed in 1998 when I jumped into the Avid world of NLE.Still relevant each month.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Too repititive between editions
It is hard to distinguish one issue of this magazine from the next. Too much repitition with respect to technique and equipment. Not enough equipment reviews or other aspects of video (i.e., festivals, etc.). The articles on technique are almost clones of each other from issue to issue. Also, too many advertisements.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This magazine is anything and everything you want

It reviews hardware, software, cameras, computers, and even gives you tips on how to make your videos look more professional. The articles are concise, accurate, and well written, so you don't have to search to find the information you are looking for. This magazine has made me a well informed videographer, and there is no doubt that it has helped, and will help how ... Read More
