The Uno ProPress Belgian waffle iron bakes six 4 x 3.5-in. waffles. Choose from one of seven brownness settings using the control. Perfect for large, family breakfasts, this waffler makes six golden brown, deep-pocketed Belgian waffles at a time. The waffle grids heats up quickly and evenly due to the extra-thick die-cast aluminum surface, and an adjustable control offers seven different browning temperatures for lighter or darker waffles. For safety, a red light remains on for the duration of your cooking time and a green light illuminates when the appliance has reached the desired heat (about 8 to 10 minutes). The commercial-style handle stays cool during cooking and presses straight down to completely enclose the lid over your waffles. A high-quality nonstick coating on the waffle grids ensures that waffles lift off easily and that the waffler is easy to clean. In addition, the waffler has a trough that catches any overflow batter during cooking and makes cleanup a little easier.
While the high-polish aluminum exterior on this appliance is beautiful and durable, it also heats up to the same temperature as the waffler’s interior. The plastic-coated handle offers some protection from the heat, but cooks still must exercise caution to prevent burns from the lid or sides of the handle. We own three of these waffle irons and use them at least once a week for use in our B&B.They are heavy, long-lasting, and the waffles always pop off without sticking. We looked long and hard for a dependable waffle iron and this was the best we could find on the market.After several years of hard work, one gave up the ghost, but we replaced it with another Villaware.Recommended.

Man, oh, man...what a huge and EXPENSIVE mistake in buying this "pig."I've had mine for a year now and have never been able to get it to perform well.I've even contacted the manufacturer, to no avail.Essentially, the top element doesn't do the trick and I end up with white-on-the-top and brown-on-the-bottom waffles.If I increase the heat control, I get drier waffles that are much browner on the bottom, but not on the top (it's still white).I've had to flip the waffles over to get browning ... Last Sunday I actually had 6 warm waffles on my breakfast simultaneously. Contrary to previous reviewers my waffles were crisp and I noticed no problems with the waffler. I also liked the fact that it stands on its side for storage.

this is a great waffle iron. I am so very pleased with it and so is my family. I have had other waffle irons in the past, but for belgian waffles this is the best iron.

The problem with this is that (as it appears to me) VillaWare has tried to cut corners by re-using all but the plates as it has on it's Panini Grill (which for the record is an excellent product - which I have given rave reviews).Check out the Panini Grill - unless you had these products in front of you & were able to open them up, you'd never be able to tell the difference between them.I would say, don't write off VillaWare products just because of one poor one, as I said I also own the Panini ...
