Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - part II better than original
House II was much better than the original House. You'd almost have to watch the two movies to know where I'm coming from.Part II had a more interesting plot to say the least. If you like horror movies with humor than you'd like this one.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Avoid completely
i watched this thinking it was going to be a decent sequel and my friend watching it with me kept commenting that he saw it when he was a kid and he thought it was good then. well not far into the movie you can see its going to be crappy. too family orientated to be a decent sequel to the first. but if you do have some youngsters that want to watch a 'scarey' movie than this would be good for that, other than that avoid at all cost.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not Gorey Enough to be "Splatstick," But Still Fun
A complete departure from the previous installment, "House II" is more of a light comedy with some horror overtones than a serious horror movie.

Still worth the time, though, if only for the ingenious cameo by John "Cliff from Cheers" Ratzenberger. (Interestingly enough, Cliff's buddy Norm [George Wendt] has a supporting role in the first House movie as the annoying next-door neighbour.)

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great fun
House 2 is a great movie, but I don't want to write anything about the movie here since you can find information on it all over the internet. I'll focus on the particular DVD.

Pros:

+ Quality is fine
+ Picture is sharp (almost no noise)
+ Correct/original aspect ratio and uncut movie

Cons:

- Audio is only Mono
- Few extras (only a trailer)

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Just watching this is a horror by itself.
The first House was bad enough. But this one is far worst. I was forced to sit through this garbage again tonight. Started out so creepy and turned into pure fluff. I hate this movie! Calling this horror is nothing more than a cruel joke on horror fans. If your kids can sit through a "horror" movie with the lights off and have a good time. Then it's not worth the time.
