Indispensable in the kitchen, these three mixing bowls are pretty enough to use as serving vessels and to hold fruit on the counter. They go safely into the oven and through the dishwasher without harming their glossy, lead-free glaze, which does not absorb odors or moisture and is so hard it will not crack, discolor, or scratch. The bowls measure 10, 8, and 5-1/2 inches in diameter.

Hey it is a mixing bowl. They came packed in 2 different boxes with tons of packing material. I am not sure what they though this box would go through but i am sure it could be dropped off the truck and sill the bowls would be fine. They look great, are lightweight, and are of very good quality; even the biggest bowl is not heavy.

Yeah, the bowls are pretty, but as fragile as an egg shell. My 8-inch diameter bowl was just broken and these piece-of-crap bowls are too expensive to replace. Good frickin luck with them.

Except, perhaps, for the list price, there is nothing to improve upon with these fine mixing bowls. I chanced across a set in a mustard colored hue not presently listed here and got a major discount... so I have nothing but praise for the set.The ceramic is dense and solid, with a bell-like ring and a formidable resistance to chipping and cracking.The glaze is smooth, easy to clean inside and out, and simply beautiful. Although you will probably say that there's no good reason to spend so much on mixing bowls that will eventually break (as opposed to good ol' plastic bowls), I have to say that these bowls are a welcome, attractive, and flexible addition to any kitchen.
